Not watched it yet... But the falcon was the best, the Amiga the most mature (and all the software advantages that come with that) and the Acorn obviously had the best CPU...

-edit- just had a "What if" moment, imagining that those three companies had pulled together and made a single killer machine to take on Sony and the IBM PC compatible :-/

So, it would have been an Amiga compatible, ARM powered Falcon :) :)

Yep, Atari Falcon had the best graphics by far, as well as a built in DSP chip. Had it ran Amiga OS at the time, it would have been the best option all around me thinks.

I remember there was a opinion article in CU Amiga from an editor of an Atari ST magazine. he basically pitched the Falcon against the A1200, and obviously, the Falcon won in that article. But the next month, a reader letter went though and debunked the article point-by-point in favour of the A1200.

I miss the old format wars.

But either machine would have been benefitted by the A3010's ARM CPU.

Don't forget the Atari Falcon was limited by a 16bit bus...

I have never seen an Acorn. I will try RiscOS when I get my RPI, and I suppose I can compare it to AmigaOS.

RiscOS was a mess compared to AmigaOS, but both were superior to anything Atari Had at the time (though the later release of MiNT had serious potential).

You should sign in using OpenID & vote for Amiga green (or Atari blue) side. Comment optional.

Am I the last Amigan on here? The Amiga 1200 kicks Atari Falcon's arse... obviously! There's no argument or discussion to be had.

In fact, I'm an amiga fanatic to the bone, but I MUST admit that the most basic Archimedes kicks A1200'ass with a GOOD difference:
