Whats about this cool Acrylcase
I think i will buy this one for my A1 Miggy...
@kent Oh yes it was a bit a big picture before..:-D
(http://d:\acryltower.jpg)
Here it is.. (http://oc-card.de/pi1034785941.htm)
I think it is a bit expensive but nice...
-
er ...................................
What case ?
-
I think it's a real shame that there hasn't been a case designed especially for the AmigaOne, even if it's just an optional extra. If it was good looking and good quality, I'd be willing to shell out more for it.
-
This is a nice case.
Comes with 350W, Neon Light, Aluminium for £49
CSE-MID-CSV770 EMERMAX VERRE MIDI 350- W FL' LIGHT 5+ 42.00 49.35

I think VortexAU said he was getting something like that for his A1 G4 xe
-
Here's the case I'm going use:
The case is already on order and I'm just waiting for it to arrive. Got it for a steal from an insider at a computer place. Never seen a Lian-Li PC-70 go for less than $70 before. The second case is going to rehouse my P.O.S.C. windows system while I already have a nice solid state BSD box running nice and cool mounted behind the desk.

My tower is built and waiting. I have everything I need but the AmigaOneXE G4. While waiting for it to arrive, I started modding the case. It came pre-modded with the lexan window, but I added the blowholes in the window and the top of the case as well as the original AMIGA logo and LED's from my 1200 (RIP) :-D
These are my first ever case mods.. I have blue rounded floppy and IDE cables also and plan to clean up the wiring once the AmigaOne board is in. (motherboard in pictures is an old one I had laying around for mock up purposes only)

Thank you.. I had to do something to occupy my time while wating for my XE to arrive!

Nice, but I don't even know what the standard AmigaOne case looks like!
Which is pretty silly as my G3SE is now on its way.
Anyone have any pictures to post of it for me?
-
There is NO case !! Its just a Motherboard & Cpu.
Unless you bought a complete system.
-
I bought a complete system!
What's the case like on it?
Any photies?
-
-
That really depends on who you bought the complete system from and what case they felt like using. There is no "standard" case like all previous amiga's had.
-
Probably like this ... (might be a big piccie)

-
Argh. It's THAT case!
Is that the so-called 7-bay Midi ATX tower it says in the starter system advert which I ordered?
What happened to them lovely NAYA cases?
-
-
Well
-
SmartAlec spake in horror
What happened to them lovely NAYA cases?
Them Naya cases cost about £250 JUST for the empty case.
-
Oh.
Still, that doesn't look like a 7 bay case to me.
-
When you get it, if your unhappy with the case, you could always tranship it into the same case as I've got for my A1 .....................

See you in the morning Amiga Org!
Let's all have pleasant dreams about busty blondes holding AmigaOnes! :-)

and a lawyer for Eyetech stated:
"Your case has been adjourned!" . . . . . . . . :-)

thanks for showing off some tips on different cases , but i want a silent/noice controlled case in order to keep my A1 on 24/7...(it will be in my bedroom so i need a silent computer)
any tips on a silent case which doesn't cost too much?
-
Well ..Heres my husbands case in all its watercooled glory
Thermaltake (http://www.thermaltake.com/)
you can bet its quiet ... Dunno about cheap though.
-
am I the only one who wants a desktop case? to bad that there are no cool ones... :-(
-
The results for the poll about an A1200 style case for AmigaOne are interesting.
A whopping 68% of the votes said yes or maybe!
I didn't think anyone would want them cases anymore, I thought we all preferred big box!
On board sound would be good, but it would have to have good graphics otherwise it wouldn't be an Amiga would it?
Personally, I don't think I would buy a desktop case for my Amiga. I'm past that stage now.
In a tower, an Amiga looks like it means business!
-
here is the case you want:
ATECHFLASH STK-6551G GREY-CLEAR MID CASE (http://www.atacom.com/program/print_html_www.cgi?cart_id=2513122_80_60_94_72&Pagecode=1|CASX&Item_code=CASX_ATEF_65_5G&USER_ID=www)
Not sure what case I'll get though!

Lodbro
I considered a desktop, but, all the cool ones want a Mini ATX or micro ATX. The larger ones that fit the A1 are crap. Only solution is do some customizing.. Make your own windows, with color lights and fans. Or take the easy way out and buy a tower. Well, I guess you could wait for a 2nd generation mobo. 8-)
