Just found out about this film, which documents the early days of the demo scene on the C64/Amiga included.
If anyone is interested, the film will be screened in Warsaw - Poland, from Friday 12/10 till Sunday 14/10 (3 showings)
Know it's a bit short notice... but it's a chance to see demos on the Big screen! And hopefully it will be an informative view on the beginnings of the demo scene :)

There's also a link to the film in it's entirety on Youtube:

Just finished watching it, very nice.
Most of the Demos shown in the film, were already on my HD, one demo shown was actually made for PS3 called "Linger in Shadows"
Here is a commentary of "Linger in Shadows" by someone that doesn't understand the "Demo Scene".

I want to watch this movie! Why is it on crappy youtube?!? :rant: Youtube uses Flash which is complete garbage on my lowly 1500 Mhz single core bgcpc.
Why is there no link on ThePirateBay (or ThePromoBay or whatever they are calling themselves these days).
I can watch normal movies just fine on my computer, but not stupid slooooooooooooooooooooooooooow Adobe Flash movies. GRRR :angryfire:

@Thorham
Thanxx0rz!
Which version do I want? Eng-vo-sub or Eng-vo-nosub? What is the difference? There are separate sub files in the dir so I don't understand the need for 2 different versions. *scratching head*

Eng-vo-sub is English hard subbed (or has the sub file built in) and Eng-vo-nosub requires a sub file. The first one is handy if you're having trouble with sub files (wouldn't know why that would be, but it's there if needed).

Good, I was just going to ask for subtitles since I downloaded it from Youtube. :)

I've glad that you liked the film and managed to get subtitles:) Waiting to go and see it at the WFF festival..(before I watch it on youtube, although I'm tempted!)
Will be interesting to see how the general viewing public find the film..
Anyway, looking forward to it :)
