I went looking for the Brian Bagnall's sequel on Commodore and the Amiga and was surprised by the following:
It will ship this month:
http://www.ipgbook.com/commodore-products-9780973864991.php?page_id=32&pid=VAR
It is also on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Commodore-Amiga-Years-Brian-Bagnall/dp/0973864990
Looks pretty nice!

Thanks for the tip!
We need a 'like' button! I like the info, but really don't have anything to add!

Great book, I can't wait to buy it. Thanks for the info Pentad.

I'm pretty excited about this book.
I ended up paying $18.32 with free shipping on Amazon which I think is a good deal.
I will post when it is released.
Cheers!

I dont understand why this series isnt available for kindle at a sensible price, some of these books on commodore cost MORE on kindle than paperback!!
http://www.amazon.com/The-Future-Was-Here-Commodore/dp/0262017202/ref=pd_bxgy_b_text_y
Pathetic, should be $5-7 on kindle max!!!

It's cost me £20 from Amazon UK ... still ordered it though!

I just dont have much disposable income these days (kids are worse than women at reducing your finances to rubble!). :(

Amazon US also recommends:
Commodore: The Amiga Years
The Future Was Here: The Commodore Amiga
Commodore: A Company On The Edge
On The Edge: The Spectacular Rise and Fall of Commodore
Fire In The Valley: The Making of The Personal Computer (Second Edition)
That's a lot of reading!

I have all the other books and have read them. I guess I do not have a life. :-( (I have two kids though..single Dad).
Fire in the Valley was good but mostly about PC/Mac and little or nothing about Atari or Commodore. It was Fire in the Valley that inspired The Pirates of Silicon Valley.

I don't buy paper books these days, it's just pointless...

Well that's good info here for rest of us, thanks a lot pal. I'll just go to my pointless Amiga book (which is made of oh-so-old-papyrus) and read myself to sleep. g'nite!

i think it'll be a good read. But the 'blurbs' they write on the back cover ultimately make me think commodore made lots of bad decisions and therefore went bankrupt. So, in marketing terms they failed to appeal to the 'market', or just maybe, they tried to appeal to a market that wasn't ready because most people use computers for simple data processing at the time and didn't have much brand awareness. I hope that its the story of a revolutionary computer which didn't fail, because if it did, i wouldn't be here expressing views on Amiga.org. And I hope at the end of the book it will express the legacy that Amiga has left behind and a future with or without commodore.

Bought "Commodore" by Brian Bagnall for $9.95 US on the Apple iBook Store, read all 540 pages in 2 days, awesome.
Awaiting the sequel..
The book 'The Future Was here' is a ridiculous $27.00 US from the iBook Store, so I won't be reading that.

Hardcover is less than $20 on Amazon. Kindle is less than $15. Now we know why I dont buy from iBooks.
