Some quotes:
Along with suing Novell - it was announced today that SCO has been lobbying Congress about the horrifying ways that Linux and the rest of open source software saves users money, allows others to use the software anyway they see fit and 'gasp' causes SCO to not make as much money as they would like. Along with all of the usual FUD.
SCO claims Linux is a threat to national security because it is freely available to any dictator.
..we are firm in our belief that the unchecked spread of Open Source Software, under the GPL, is a much more serious threat to our capitalist system than US corporations realise.
What a disgusting world we live in.. sigh  :-x
Not only are they attacking linux, but the open source itself..

At least we can be reasonably sure that they'll never be able to destroy the open source movement - for these scumbags to destroy something, they generally have to buy it first. In the case of GPL software, there's nothing to buy. If the best they can do is attempt to label everyone connected a communist, well I'd say it just sounds like the whimpering of sad old men who wish they weren't losing their stranglehold on the world.

:-? Like Evil Dictators haven't heard of P2P anyway!

Yes but SCO is running out of money. They need to make more money else they won't be able to pay their lawers any more. Last count I think they spent something like $9 Million on Lawers and made $5 Million income. The company is only worth about $30Million on paper.

IBM knows that SCO can't afford to drag it out. So IBM will drag out the preceedings for as long as possible and then buy SCO or just let it go into solvency.
