I get the impression I'm not having 14bit output.
Is there a specific place you should place the 14bit.driver and the FlowerPower's_Calibration?
From what I read in the docs first one should be in devs, but I'm still not sure about the rest ....the docs don't specify.
Also in the docs it says it should substitute the sound device but there's no device in there, is the sound device patched by the Calibration tool?
I just want to be sure everything is well installed...so if you know just gimme a hand would ya...:-D
Thx.

Ordinary Amiga programs would not benefit from the Cybersound driver. There where just a few program written for Cybersound as far as I know.
However, if you install AHI you can use the Paula driver and chose 14bit HIFI and then all AHI powered programs would playback in 14bit. The driver for AHI makes use of the calibration file but the 14bit.driver you can crap.
Please, note that 14bit playback requires some CPU power. On a 040 or better system the performance loss is neglectable, but on a 020 it might be dead slow. (Everything is relative ofcourse!)

Right, thx for anwering. I have an A1200 with 040@40mhz so no overhead problem. Still where do I need to put the calibration file when using AHI?
And still, mpega(the program itself, no the library) says in the docs it can use cybersound output...
So still would be cool know where the Cybersound files go cause I don't think it's working as it should....
Mepega is probably the fastest realltime MP3 decoder EVER for the Amiga, only problem is that it's command line only. There are GUIs for it on Aminet though, I'll try them when I get the most trivial things running....
