As 2012 comes to a close DiscreetFX is transiting away from SD (Standard Definition) products and will be producing only HD products. Sadly the Amiga Video Toaster is only SD so we will be transitioning away from it. This means we have some great close out deals on Amiga Video Toaster hardware to clear out inventory. Also to gage the future interest of Aladdin 4D we have reduced the price of it to $19.96 ($99.96 value) for 72 hours. IF you can afford to buy your favorite movie on DVD you can now afford Aladdin 4D. This is a great sale and helps us gage interest in future supported platforms for it. Aladdin 4D 6.0 will be available for OS X and iPad only, we are still evaluating what platforms will be supported in Aladdin 4D 7.0. Aladdin 4D 5.x for AmigaOS will no longer be available after October 5th, 2012. Please let us know what platform you would like to see Aladdin 4D 7.0 available for when you order. During the 72 hour closeout sale products have been very competitively priced to move limited inventory. First come first served. We now use a 3rd party shipping company. All hardware products are professionally packaged and shipped in 24 hours or less.

It costs nothing to continue selling software, except in box/disk form. Is DiscreetFX at least going to release the old version free of charge?

Thanks for the information Bill, glad to see you seem to have some direction with where your business is going.
Sorry to see that the Amiga platforms aren't going to be available, but that's probably a realistic business decision. I guess since the other platforms are listed, things have settled down with Deron, so happy to see cooler heads prevailing.

woah now after all that fuss there will in fact be a Alladin4d v6 except not for AmigaOS ??
oh well I'm still waiting for my money back for quite some time now so good luck with the Apple versions:rolleyes:
