Hello all,
I now have my A2000 hooked into my PC via a null modem cable! :)
I want to connect to some of my favorite C64 BBS and need advise on a good terminal program to use. On my C64 I use CCGMS which does ANSI graphics nicely. What is a good term to run on my Amiga.
It's an A2000 running OS 3.1.
Thanks, Dan

I always liked something called Terminus, but Ncomm and Amiterm are nice, too. I guess they have more features. Not sure if they are freely available nowadays.

Terminus or Term were always my first choices. Term has more features but not as lightweight as Terminus. Both handled ANSI just fine as I remember though.

Thanks for the tips folks.
I found Terminus and it looks great. Not sure if I need a library for Commodore ANSI graphics or not.
I've been using 64\128 since the 80's but just getting into the Amiga.

You must be one of the last people that switches from c64 to Amiga :)
Seriously, it is ofcourse a world apart. I really see it as totally seperate machines that serve different purposes. But have fun with it and let us know if you have further questions!

LOL, well I still have and use a 128D setup in my radio room.
Last year I got an Amiga A2000 given to me and since then I've been getting familiar with it. I also upgraded it to full ECS, 3.1 ROM, and even found a 030\25Mhz card for it.
I'm a gamer, so that's my main interest in it, always loved the Amiga but never had the time to get into it. Now I do, along with about 30 video game consoles.
Yeah, I have a gaming addiction. :insane:
And thanks, I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions.

The 16 bit era is the best era of gaming anyways :)

Still need to expand my 8bit/16bit console collection myself. 30 sounds like the number Im aiming for, too. Cant say I prefer 16 bit over 8 bit, but playing around with a 16 bit home computer is a lot easier than 8 bit, to be honest..
@C64er Do you have a chameleon64?

I have a large collection of gaming consoles from the Atari 2600 to a PS3.
There are obscure consoles like the Channel F I don't have but almost all the others.
I don't have a chameleon64 but that thing looks bad a$$!
I have a VIC20, C64, C64C, 128, and a 128D. They are all stock except for my 128D. I have JiffyDOS and a MegaBit chip loaded in it. Also linked to run Telnet BBSing.

I've always loved Terminus, personally.
Before it came around I was a pretty big fan of NComm.
