Title: Power supply question
Post by: ami500 on January 21, 2004, 12:30:35 PM
Since I have my A590 running from an AT power supply, I'm thinking of running the actual amiga 500 from the same unit.

Now, for the pin outs for the 500 power supply, it's got a little schematic on the base of the supply, but is it as you are looking at the pins themselves, or from the "cable" side of the pins (looking at the socket on the amiga itself)?

Thanks.

It's looking at the connector on the end of the power supply cable.  To be on the safe side, you should check the voltage on the pins with a multimeter.  Then line up the power supply plug with the power connector on the Amiga 500.  That should give you an idea of how to wire it up.  I cut the cord off my Amiga 1200 power supply and hooked it up to an old XT/AT power supply.  It works great.
