Title: Escom Kickstart 3.1 & ClickToFront
Post by: Haranguer on August 31, 2012, 11:46:49 AM
Is the reason that ClickToFront on my Escom A1200 doesn't work related to the Kickstart ROMs?  If I get other ROMs, will ClickToFront work?  I'm planning to bring an A1200 back into service, and I want to make sure everything works ...

There's no newer Kickstart to get than 3.1. Try WinToFront instead: http://aminet.net/package/util/cdity/WinToFront19

To use ClickToFront, not only do you have to double click the window to bring it to the front, but you also have to hold in Left Alt on the keyboard at the same time.
I use MultiCX instead for my ClickToFront feature. It's better as it does what it says on the tin... it double clicks windows to front, and doesn't require a key combination.

I would try MultiCX like Paul says actually, it's more useful than WinToFront which I linked to.

You don't have to hold left alt, just double click on the window and it will come to the front. Just check the tooltypes of ClickToFront.

In the tooltypes you can set QUALIFIER=NONE and dump click to front in wbstartup and it will work all the time.
i have always used it this way.

@mechy

Thanks for the advice.  I'll try it out.

On my OS3.0 machine, all I've ever had to do is double click.  Never thought to check tooltypes ...
