WHDLoad no longer works with any games on my Amiga 3000 used for gaming.
I have reinstalled, copyied back my key files and rom files from a backup and for every game now all it does it go to a black screen after the splash screen.
I have tried a variety of cpu settings and I am at a loss.
My gaming 3000 is a stock 25MHz 030 with 16 megs of sc zips (tried turning on and off ramsey settings), a GVP Spectrum using picasso drivers, and Ariadne NIC.
Nothing has changed, to my knowledge (the system is used by my kids mainly), I went throught the ENV archive for anything different...
I installed WHDLoad on my producivity 3000 wih a cybervision 64 and a warp engine 3040 and the games worked perfectly.
Any ideas????

What kind of display do you use with it? Could be a display issue? ( if f.x. Using a vga compatible mode for workbench vs pal for whdload)

I use a simple lcd via the passthrough off the spectrum.
I don't here the music of the games so I don't think it's getting to display them, I think it's just halting.

If you press the "quit" key for the game does it quit back out to Workbench or is the system completely frozen requiring a reboot?
-
prt scr doesn't quit.
caps lock stops working.
Ctrl A A does reset it though.

Make sure you take the Ariadne offline before starting WHDLoad.

I tried with no luck.
The only thing I can think to do is reinstall the entire OS... Or maybe something failed on the 3k that is tripping up WHDLoad.
All non WHDLoad games work, I can boot some of the WHDLoad games from floppy and they work...

Have you tried running a virus scan? I had a virus attack earlier this year on my A600. This led to some programs crashing on startup, and other weird stuff. I used VirusZ to kill it off. It fixed all infected files, and it worked as good as new afterwards.
