Title: Running adf from cf card in A1200
Post by: WeiXing3D on August 19, 2012, 09:46:37 PM
Is it possible to run a game in adf directly from a cf card inside the PCMCIA adapter in the A1200?

Can this be done without having to mount in a floppy? When I tried to mount in a floppy using adfblitzer I get a check sum error when writing to a floppy. So I want to avoid having to do this step.

no you cant...
but there is a device that let you boot directly an adf. It replaces the floppy drive and it is called HxC Floppy Emulator.

Yeah, this is what I use.  It can be little cumbersome at first, but once you get it working it really rocks.    It may seem a bit pricey, but it's really not when you consider what you're getting and how well it works.

The 3.5" drive version wasn't out when I bought mine...  makes me want to upgrade.
