Bil Herd was only involved in 8 bit, so no Amiga history in there.

That is incorrect.  Bil was at CBM when the Amiga, Inc. was purchased by CBM and brought into the company.  You should read more Amiga history!  ;-)

While I was there when Amiga was bought and was one of the people that reviewed the technical specs (lots of pictures of tanks), my main job in the end was to get us through a CES show with "the next product" and keep some revenue flowing, and so did not have any kind of active role in the Amiga.  (On paper I was supposed to start the PAL version)

My understanding from Evan just last night is that Dave Haynie picks up Commodore History Part III at next year's VCF and takes it from Amiga to ending sadness.

I would loved to have seen a back from the grave Animals A500.
