Hi all im trying to install miamidx on my miggy buti am running into problems, wheni first tried to install maimi it said i needed to install the MUI so i downloaded mui38 user ran the installer and encountered the "Cant open file " " inline 299" error, does anyone have any ideas?
-
Anyone?
-
Bad Installer version?
-
I think thats it. I've recently installed it also and got the same error. I'm pretty sure I downloaded a different installer and put it into C: to cure it.
Also, make sure your extracting it on the miggy and not on a PC and then transferring it.

Make sure you extract the MUI archive on the Amiga. If you extract on another OS and transfer it over, it will fail due to one of the files being named a "happy face" character that will not extract on other OS's or file systems.

Well there is an icon with a face on it but when i click on it it is just the author thanking you and asking to register it?

Tried both installers but getting the same error?

i did extract it on the amiga using unarc but still get the error

try in advance/expert mode...
I also got this error but I cant remember exactly the pb (it might be a missing catalog or language selection).
you can also just open the install program on a text editor and look for the line 299 and see whats written...

You need to install at least Boingbag 1 for OS 3.9 before UnArc works correctly.

Download an alternative MUI install package (http://lilliput.amiga-projects.net/mui38.htm) and try installing that.
