It's most likely a modern PPC based motherboard designed to run OS4.x.  So, the answer depends on your definitions of a) real amiga and b) PC.  By 'PC' do you mean x86?  If so, no, it's probably not a PC.  By 'real amiga' do you mean 68k and custom chips?  If so, no, it's not an Amiga.  Confused yet?  :)

AmigaOne is a generic PPC system running OS4 but not limited to. It is just branding ie you can buy OS4 hardware without AmigaOne brand. ACube is selling their Samantha embedded platform with and without AmigaOne badge.

In summary, it's a modern machine designed to run later/current incarnations of Amiga OS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AmigaOS_4).  It isn't a classic Amiga and it isn't a PC (in the sense it can't run Windows).  If you want a home for it I'll happily volunteer ;)

Which model? If its XE/SE with G3/G4 its an older but usable computer / motherboard worth 300 euros+

Its a PPC computer that  can run Linux and AmigaOS, its not Amiga CLassic, but Next Gen Amiga board.

The AmigaOne is an excellent machine as long as you have realistic expectations. AmigaOS 4.1 runs beautifully on it, but as it only has (officially) a maximum of 800MHz G4, you shouldn't expect to be decoding BluRay or anything on it.

The AmigaOne SE is a bit ... idiosyncratic, shall we say. It has some definite flaws, which limit its usefulness (particularly the fact that you're stuck to the on-board graphics with only 32MB graphics RAM). The AmigaOne XE, however, gets a lot of undeserved bad press. Look after it, and you can really enjoy an XE (I enjoy mine!). There are still problems, but almost all of them you can get round and have a good, stable system.

In other words, the SE is probably not worth it - spend the extra and get a Sam - but the XE can be well worth it if you can find one.

Just as an explanation, after a long and protracted court battle legal rights to PPC AmigaOS and Amiga hardware were divorced from one another.  Hyperion gained the rights to the PPC version of AmigaOS (and the use of classic AmigaOS for emulators).  Amiga Inc gained the rights to the Amiga line of computers and has since licensed that right to a company name who's shall not be spoken.  They make PCs with the Amiga label on them.

Except for one thing...
The principals have tested the settlement agreement since the point at which it was entered as a court judgment. They continue to do so.
Nothing is in engraved in stone really.
It's more a matter of what gets challenged in court.

Aren't you mixing up with micro-A1 ? I have a discrete Radeon GFX card in my A1G3SE.

Quite right, sorry. The MicroA1 is the limited one, my mistake. All I really know is that the XE is awesome. :)
