Post by: Omni on January 20, 2004, 03:06:19 AM
Which is the best RDB recover software.

While testing the A1200T with the accelerator problem, my 6.4 Gb hd lost it's RDB! I want to recover as much as I can. So any help is really appreciated.

Thanx

I never tried to recover lost RDB, I'm trying to make backup the RDB every week, and on 2 different floppies (I lost my RDB once, and the RDB backup floppy got corrupted, so now I use two)..

You can find many progs on Aminet (http://ftp.uni-paderborn.de/aminetbin/find)

good luck..

There are at least two I know of. The first is RDB-Salv. It is commercial and can be bought at www.schatztruhe.de (part of Amiga Repair Kit).

The other one is RDBrecov, written by me. It is less comfortable than RDB-Salv (command line only), but it can find more kinds of partitions and usually is much faster.

Bye,
