I was thrilled to find out that the wife's old ZIP that never gets used could be latched onto my A600 via an aminet hack.
I went about setting up my Amy again (thanks Erasmus GMX for the OS images). Then it occurs to me: My rig probobly won't be able to read PC or Mac zip disks and vice versa.
Is this the case?
Does anyone know of software that will let me Amy read these formats? Or my Mac read ADF? (or even my wife's XP machine?)
TIA

Isn't it just a case of setting the drive up like any other drive, using HDToolbox or similar prog (HDInstTools etc on Aminet) to format it? Or do you mean reading it as a PC disk?

FAT95 can create a mountlist to mount a PC (FAT) formatted Zip. I think the Mac can read FAT formatted disks too...

Are you guys saying it can mount a FAT32 formatted ZIP disk?
I haven't got it setup yet so I haven't done anything but download the lha file.
I got to get my HD installed first.
Can I format it to AFS with the OS 2.1 install software?
Will it at least read a Win FAT32 disk?
or perhaps there is software that would allow for this somewhere on aminet?

Is "FAT95" an Amiga software componet? Pray it be on aminet?
-
Yep. Fat95 supports FAT32. Although, you won't see any of the benefits on a small disk like a Zip.

You can down load FAT95 with this link:
