Title: Battery in amiga 500?

Hi i have an amiga 500, i have had it since 1998, and then it hit me today, if there is a battery in it from new? if so, i must take it apart today, but thought i will ask if there is, before i took it apart.

The 500 has no battery only the 500+, if you have an memory expansion it has a battery you can check, so open up the trapdoor and see :)

Although the A500 itself has no battery, the trapdoor RAM expansion can have one, and it can wreak havoc in the A500. Do check that out.
replacement batteries are still really cheap.

Hi i have check the RAM expansion and the battery looks fine :-) thanks for your inputs

Your welcome :) Never hurts to replace the battery to avoid disaster in the future tho.

You are right it never hurts to replaced it and other things :) that is also a way to keep our old machines alive longer :)
