Title: '020 vs '060 compat w/ WHDLoad titles?
Post by: blakespot on August 13, 2012, 10:22:51 PM
I have an A2000 '020. If I went '060, how much of a compatibility hit would I feel on WHDLoad titles?

Thanks.

I've just got an Apollo 1260 running 3.9, so far all WHDLOAD titles that I've tried work fine (and this is without tweaking any WHDLOAD CPU settings).

It's pretty good on the Blizz 2060. Just be careful with the Phase5 68060.library - I can't recall if it was the latest, or near the latest, but one of them causes WHDLoad to bomb. You'd know right away.

So, I have noticed a number of WHDLoad games that worked fine on my '020 board crashing out with a NMI error on my '060 board. Amiga 2000 is the system.

I also had an instance of a game complaining that it would likely have issues as NOMMU could not happen due to memory that was currently being mapped.

It's a Blizzard 2060. Are there ways around this?
