I think I had a freaky Amiga related experience!
A while back, I had a weekend visit to Bristol to see friends and stayed in some serviced apartments. A friend is visiting there soon, so I was looking up the address of them for him.
Upon Googling the address I saw the name Metacomco linked in a few sites to that address, I knew the name rang a bell but couldn't place it. Then I noticed it was on a few Atari and Amiga sites!
These are the apartments

Located at
26 Portland Square

It does seem a company called Metacomco were there in the 80s

They're from Bristol, and had a hand in inventing the first AmigaOS... to think I was probably sleeping in a room where part of the Amiga was born and I had no idea, pretty freaky!
Several sites seem to confirm that was their address: http://www.page6.org/archive/issue_25/page_35.htm
Just thought I'd share anyway.

Yup, those are the apartments alright! I rather like Bristol :)
Weird though, you almost certainly stayed in the very place AmigaDos was put together!

What happens in Bristol, stays in Bristol...

Do you think they'd mind if we put up a plaque? :-P
