Title: Free to a good home: A500HD & A2000 (Aug 2012)
Post by: Lenk on August 02, 2012, 08:54:23 PM
as of 7PM on 8/2 I think they might have a good home...thank everyone for their interest....Len K

I have my original A500HD and A2000HD in (pretty sure) complete  condition. I have tons of music, graphic and utility software on  original diskettes, original monitor, dual mouse/trackball, cables, etc.  (see photos in marketplace post). You would pay packing & shipping costs (probably via  UPS).

The last time I had both units working was in 2000 before I moved to S  Florida. Last year I took them out of the inside closet to revisit my  fun Amiga days but seems neither would boot.

Moving to Florida, getting married, buying a new house and still running  my business (software development) has kept me occupied for 10 years.  Now my business requires more time and I would rather see my Amiga  hardware and software go to an enthusiast who can make use & enjoy  them. I'll be sad to see them go but glad someone can use them.  Please  email me direct:  lkruger@edibiz.net (lkruger@edibiz.net) --or-- call: 800-622-6118.

Do you happen to have a spare mouse lying around you'd part with separately?

I told him to buy a PS/2 mouse adapater and then get a brand new laser mouse.  But he was silly and did not listen to me. :)

Seriously, old Amiga mice are 100% useless.

It didn't but you can't play Lemmings or Hired Guns in two-player with one mouse :)

and yeah, I guess I should just get over myself and get an adapter.

Whew!  I was worried it was a lemon.

Yeah - I've been eyeing those adapters as well.

Laser mice are far more accurate and they will help keep u from getting Carpal Tunnel, Tendonitis, RSI or RSD like me.  Its the difference between life and death.  u r playing with fire to use an old wobbly inaccurate mouse that u hafta kinda fight with sometimes to get it to do what u want.

U should be willing to learn from my mistakes.

U get the luxury of the fact that I learned some life lessons the gdmf HARD way :(

u should come 2 houston and meet me.  Just look at me 4 5 minutes and see what using an antiergonomic mouse can do to u. :(  I guarantee u will change ur ways immediately.
