Title: 1080 Monitor RGB switch problems

hello everyone. we are new here, a dad and son trying to resurrect dad's old A2000 and 1080 monitor and wonder if anyone can help us. The A2000 is sending signal fine. The RGB Digital-Analog switch on the back of the monitor seems to have died. We can see flashes of color when toggling the switch, but no signal is present in any of the preset positions. We wonder if we might create a permanent connection for an Analog RGB signal by soldering ("jumping?") two contacts on the back of the switch circuitboard. Attached is a picture of it. Does anyone know which contacts to connect? ...or is this even possible? If not, any other suggestions? Thanks!

At the top of the list is the service manual for the 1080. I'm sure it will be of some use anyway, although I don't think it has the schematic you were looking for.

I've torn apart both of my 1080's several times and that switch is easy to get to and test; it is fairly durable and I suspect is working ok; the flash you see is normal even when nothing is connected, so I would check the front comp/sep/rgb mode switch and your Amiga signal again
