Since I dont have a linux machine, blogging about linux gaming is probably going to come up short.
So I figure I'll throw that effort behind some amiga blogging (classic and MOS, since thats what I have access to).
http://theamigablog.blogspot.com/
only a stupid intro post so far, but we'll see where it goes. Suggestions are of course quite welcome.

Your powermac can run linux ... not sure how much gaming you can do with it tough.
-
As an aside, a short post today about why amiga's are still interesting, or at least one theory on such.
-
A quick update, talking about the two joystick switchers i have, and why you should get one

I'd like a few joystick/port switches for my Amigas. Not sure where to get them from though.
-
I got both (I think) off amibay, but yeah, it's pretty much all second hand.
I am surprised with all the other widgets and adapters people have come up with, that nobody is producing a small run of these.
-
Amigakit is selling them.

Not sure if they are new or new old stock...
Heading over to check out your blogpost. ;-)

(Also, not an endorsement of the above product per se. I like Amigakit, but I haven't used that switcher; don't own one..)

Thanks, I'll check that out!

actually, I think thats cheaper than what I paid for mine :)
-
I'd read, but any site where I have to enable Javascript just to get god*** text content is a no-go for me.
-
hrm, I dont know if there's a way around that. Blogger is pretty "bloated" with things. I mostly figure if it renders in OWB it should render anywhere.

Maybe, but your's looks MUCH KUALER!!!

Well, A. it doesn't render in Firefox 1.5 (and anybody who plans to jump in telling me that I have a moral obligation to use a newer browser can save their breath,) and B. requiring Javascript to dynamically load static content is just wrong.

Yah I dont blame ya.

Couple of posts, one is a retrospective on the A1000, and another a brief review of sorts of the ACA 030 card I own. Not a lot of MOS stuff yet, but we'll see :) I got some things waiting

Nice read... thanks!

Thanks!
Im sort of feeling out territory and what sort of stuff to put on there.

@runequester
Just some nitpicking, "MorphOS" is written without space inside :-). Waiting for more blogs about it...
-
haha, thanks. I'll correct :)
Since MorphOS is my main computer now, I am hoping to do a quick rundown of how to get by day-to-day. Maybe tonight or this weekend.
-
I've just read your Quake post on the blog. I suggest to try also Return to Castle Wolfenstein, it is even better :-).

I spent many a day on RTCW multiplayer. A truly absorbing game. ;)

I'll need to get a hold of a copy. I'm a big Roguelike RPG fan, so I was excited to see it's possible to play Dungeon Crawl stone soup on MOS, through the online server
As an aside, today, A2000 retrospective and I'll hope to get the 500 up there too!
-
A couple new posts. As an aside, if any of you lot want to pitch in and help, Blogger permits multiple authors for one blog. Shoot me a PM. It'd be cool to have something with a fair bit of traffic.
edit: Also, if one of you had a comment accidentally deleted, I completely apologize. It looked like two identical comments but when I deleted one, it deleted both. Or maybe I just am getting stupid with age. In any event, sorry!
-
And now the end of MorphOS adventure. What can I say, nothing personal, but I'm no more interested in the blog then. I've found it also discouraging that posting a comment there requires to have an account on Google or some other useless services. Thanks for good reading anyway...

Sorry to hear that. Maybe some other time!
I didn't think about the google account requirement, so I disabled it.
