Title: How do you use UAE-Control?
Post by: Ral-Clan on July 08, 2012, 10:00:27 PM
Hi,

I started Cloanto's Amiga Forever live Linux UAE emulation from the main Amiga Forever disk.  Your PC boots a light version of Linux off the Cloanto disk and goes straight into Amiga Workbench.
This installation of AmigaOS has UAE-Control isntalled to allow one to mount virtual floppies (.adf files).

But there is no documentation on how to use it.  When I start UAE-Control I am presented with a window listing DF0: DF1: etc. and an EJECT and INSERT button.  When I press INSERT I get a slot displayed where it looks like I'm supposed to enter a directory or file location or something - but there are no instructions in the UAE-Control program nor online to tell me what format this should take or how to use it properly.

Does anyone know how to use it?

Thanks.

How about typing in the path to an .adf file as it is in the host OS? Isn't it obvious?

Yeah, that was the first thing I tried.  It didn't work.

It seems to be a straightforward system path - on my PC an inserted .ADF shows up as:

C:\Users\Andrew\AppData\Local\Temp\RetroPlatform\.adf
