I have WB 3.1 installed on one of my CF hard drives. I installed MagicWB, which I like rather well, not so boring. Now, when I boot, unless I hold down both mouse buttons and select NTSC, it will always boot in PAL. I hold the buttons down, choose NTSC, it boots, I go to screenmodes, set it on the resolution I want, click save, reboot...defaults to PAL once again. How do I change this without doing the mouse button thing every time?
Thanks,
Jeff

Did that happen only after MagicWB install?
Usually, the system defaults to what Agnus is set to by J102 (may depend on board rev), closed=NTSC, open=PAL.

Yeah, after the MagicWB install. Where on the board is J102? I have looked for it, but was never able to find it.
Thanks,
Jeff

If my memory is any good, it should be just to the left of Agnus. It may vary on the version # board however.
Hope this helps you.

So, Magic Workbench overrides the Screenmodes preferences settings???
Not familiar with Magic Workbench, but shouldn't it use whatever mode you save in your preferences???
Does it have it's own settings for that?

Well, I found the jumper JP102. I was gonna solder a pin on each pad for a jumper, so it could be changed, but, with a 15w iron, and about 1/2 a second on the pad, it separated from the board. It is still attached by the trace, however. So I just made a solder jumper across the two pads, and all is well. Boots up NTSC now by default. I can still hold both mouse buttons down and boot into PAL if I want to. Thanks for the help.
