Hi all, I recently purchased an amiga 500 with a faulty floppy drive and was wondering where i can get a replacement from? Am i able to use an amiga 1200 floppy drive?
TIA

AmigaKit sometimes have replacements. Failing that you couks always consider a HxC. I know its not a real floppy drive but it means your not having to mess around with possibly corroded and corrupted floppies.
I love mine.

Im in the UK, and never gave airey a thought :)

If it'd work, I have an A2000 drive, but even if it does work, it'd cost a boatload to ship it to the UK :(

He has an ebid store too :) you could try there.

An A1200 drive will function but not fit inside the 500's case correctly. Buying a replacement from airey36 on ebay is a safe bet though, his stuff is good.

p.s I am in no way connected with airey, I have just bought a few bits from him.

Please check eBay. They have several drives available. I just bought one for my 500.

I have bought bits off airey36 myself. Never had an issue with his stuff :)
