Title: Browsers & Telnet ?
Post by: on January 15, 2004, 05:41:58 PM
Kinda like my other message.  I've been heavy into the Amiga for all of five months passively and two months solid.  And have the ethernet DSL working for a day.  :)

So from all of you more veteran users, what telnet and web programs would you think best on a stock 3000?

Free and shareware are nice.  Programs that I have to buy are fine if they come well suggested.

     Thanks!

The only working* telnet client for Amiga is DCTelnet (http://www.aminet.net/comm/tcp/DCTel_15.lha).

For web-browsing I would recommend IBrowse.

If you need SSH your only alternative i AmTelnet.

* DCTelnet is the only client that works well with xfers.

Bothe the above mentioned are the best by far. Ibrowse is the most cabable of all the Amiga browers as well as the cleanest lookin IMHO.
