I got my X1000 a couple of weeks ago, and it's a lot of fun.
But I still haven't been able to watch a movie on it. I managed to get the video on Silkwood to play, but got no audio. DvPlayer can't even load the menus of any of the other DVDs I've tried.
I'm reluctant to pay for the full version before I get proper functionality from the demo, as you can probably imagine.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
BTW I'm in Australia, so that'll be region 4.

Wrong forum, unless if you don't want to be called stupid etc. This "Hate OS4" forum.

I have no idea but guys at http://forum.hyperion-entertainment.biz probably know better.

DVD menus are not fully implemented so it is a hit/miss game.
for protected DVDs, you need additional codecs like avcodec.library, a52.codec and dca.odec plus libdvdcss...
all available on OS4depot !

Thanks for the helpful advice.
you should have thank utri007 first.
Without his reply, (probably) you wouldn't get any! (long story to explain)
Glad you sorted, anyway!
