Why would anyone want to buy a defective Amiga? It can only see CHIP RAM, what is the use for it?

1) because some people know how to make these kinds of repairs

2) because someone might have a totally borked A4000 CPU and this one is better than a totally dead one

3) while it's nice to have Fast RAM, most Amiga programs (and more importantly) most Amiga games do not require it   :)

4) You can use an accelerator with Fast ram or a ZorRam board

BTW lowered shipping cost

Even if it can't be saved someone could salvage the complete AGA chipset among other parts.
