I know you know how to do this Fishy, where are you Fishy? ;)
So I installed Amithlon on another computer that was recently given to me, a Dell Dimension 2700.
I modified the FreeDOS 1.0 disk image and put all the needed kernal files and what not into a directory so that I'd be able to do a full install without having to have Windows installed as well.
Naturally, I can boot up with the FreeDOS CD and update what ever I need on the Fat32 (Kernel) partition from there, but I'd also like to know how I can acess that partition from within Amithlon.
Anyone?

Open up a shell and type 'setconfig dosmount "". Once you've done that soft reboot and you should have access to your fat partitions through amigaos.
If that doesnt work you'll need to install fat95, but if memory serves me correctly it's unnecessary with a lot of hardware on amithlon. It's been a while since I set things up from scratch and did most of this sort of initial setup tweaking a while ago, so it's a little hazy :)
Anyway, let me know how using setconfig goes. It's can be a little crash happy when mounting the drives/partitions this way, but only needs to be done once per session and drives will appear with all susbequent soft reboots, so its not too much of an issue.

Oh, and '""' in the setconfig line represents the fat partition you want to mount. You can use individual partitions, but I forget the labels it gives them :)
'""' obviously just mounts them all.

Thankx man, will try tonight.

Yeah, I have a ton of snippets from when Amithlon was new. I'll see if I can find them and post them on here, as blogs.
I don't remember exactly how to mount partitions, but I'm fairly certain that Fishy is right. Fat95 is unnecessary, but it also allows mounting of Fat32 partitions on the get-go. Once you install it, you don't have to deal with it.
I can't remember either, but Fishy, does Amithlon have barrier issues with Fat32? I want to say it was a 32GB limit, but I'm not sure. I usually kept all my mp3s on a Fat32 partition, 'cos of the 30 character file name limit. ;)
