I am having REAL problems with my Apollo 060 66Mhz accelerator.
When its plugged into my system it will not boot.
Stripping the system down to the bare bones (or even leaving all PCI cards plugged, but no Hard drive or CDRom on the IDE-Fix board) the 1200 will boot to the insert disk screen.
However as soon as I plug my 060 in (with & without memory) my 1200 will not even get to the insert disk screen, even if I leave it running for a couple of minutes.
I dont know if the CPU or the Oscillator is to blame (or even both!) as I do not have spares to test with to hand.
Can anyone on here help me? Does Amigakit do accelerator test/repairs???
I want to get my 1200 running again :-(

I had the same issue with my Apollo !
Was the Mach131's socket : http://leblogdecosmos.blogspot.fr/2011/09/apollo-support.html

Wow, wish I had your skills Cosmos.
If it is the same problem, it doesnt look like a nice cheap repair job :-(
I also need the second SIMM socket on the reverse of the card changing from a verticle to angled socket as Ram chips are a little too close to the CPU for comfort.
If I can make space I would love to fit a heatsink (& possibly a fan - but someone else would have to do the work for me as I have no skills in this area at all).
Would you, or someone else you know be willing to take a look at the card for me and if it can be repair it (& change round the SIMM socket)???

The socket appears to have bulged outwards. How did that happen?
@AmiBoy
Check there isn't some play between the accelerator's slot and the 1200/Mediator edge connecter as I described on Amigaworld.

@Rob
Hi Rob, I have tried 'allowing' the card to 'lean' at different angels to see what would happen (and even ensured card was 'held' straight), but same story no booting.
I also tried it with & without the Mediators edge connector (i.e. A1200s slot) and no luck :-(
This is getting depressing.
(replying on both AWorld & A.org thread)

Could it be lens distortion from the camera?? If not that is one seriously low quality socket..
