Is there any way to register mui now or obtain the keyfile?
-
Sadly no (for a long time now). You can only get it by searching around.
Even if you managed to register though, you'd get a generic Keyfile.
-
For MorphOS is free because it is free and in Amiga OS4 is ported but is free, for Amiga 68K it is impossible.

Yeah, but for some reason (license or so) the version number can never be set to v4 or higher.
-
So... if I understand this correctly... it is free for morphOS and AROS, but not for original amiga, BUT you can't get it anymore as the site is down, thus making any attempt to obtain a warez request.
sigh.

How would we contact the creators of the site? We don't mind taking this over for them. At least the site would stay up and people could register again.
-
Who knows? If we can contact him, perhaps we can find out why it was opensourced for AROS and not AmigaOS 3.1?
This is sort of par for the course for people wanting to return to Amiga after being away.
It is also utter bulls***.

.
MUI isn't opensourced for AROS. The MUI clone Zune has been rewritten from scratch (and it should be possible to port it to AOS3.1)

Interesting. What about for MorphOS? Are they using Zune? It seems like porting from that direction might be easier.

They aren't using Zune. AFAIK the MorphOS developers have a contract with Stuntzi and can work with the original MUI sources.

MUI is not in a registered version on OS4 as well, btw.
