Hope everybody is having a good week...
Considering the amount of crazy prices on eBay this one would have to be one of the best...

That's enough to buy a Minimig and have change left for a SAM mobo. I have two words for the seller...
-
haha well shipping from Perth costs a fortune to anywhere else in Australia...
I guess by the brightness of the plastic your paying for $900 worth of cleaning time that the seller spent retrobriting it :)
Hey I have 5x a500's! Looks like I can be rich too :) :) :)

Only 5? I've got 8 of them. I can retire :-))

Wow...... Just wow......

Ah the crazy world of selling Commodore stuff. I have been on holiday for a few days and a little computer shop, that sells retro stuff on the side, had a 500 for £300. That £300 for just the computer and PSU.
I had to laugh.

I would have placed a bid on this item before I read that...

think you should post ebay or similar links with low priced Amiga hardware. that might drive prices down..
all this overpriced auction spam is becoming booring.

Wait a second? If an Amiga 500 is going to cost a 1000 bucks to buy, how much would then my Amiga 1200 is going to be worth if I sell it?
Specs:
1) Amiga 1200 (desktop)
2) USB SUB with four working USB ports on the back
3) 20 GB HD 2.5" (I still like it better than CF, hehe)
4) Soon to become a 68060 @ 50 Mhz with 64 MB of RAM. (In the future overclock it to 66 Mhz)
5) A monitor 1084s
(By the way I WILL NEVER SELL MY AMIGA AGAIN) but out of curiosity how much is it going to worh if I am to sell those specs? Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry, but the Amiga 500 is far superior to the 1200, thus the increased price...

Doubt it'd fetch more than a few million these days.

Come on if the 500 is superior surely the A1000 would be worth even more than a bank!
Manual kickstart loading, no other model enjoys that experience!

I'll put it easier, or cheaper...
If you have a PC Computer, not have any Amiga, and you are an Amiga nostalgic, then, just download and install WinUAE or UAE Amiga emulator and Enjoy!

I think every system worth "what" it worths for who search for them. It also depends in wich country you are living and how dificult is to find those items. I've spend a lot of time trying to buy for the best price my amiga items. I think on the last years many people just sell commodore and atari stuff to gain some good money on it on their own profit and it's because of the market expeculation that many times, sellers without the intention of doing that, see those expensive prices from other people and they end selling their stuff also expensive. The whole market it's addicted and inflactioned. It also depends on the use that we are gonna give to those items, I only buy items that i can play regular on it, not just to expose on a corner. The relation cost/benefict is diferent from buyer to buyer.

Has the price changed? It seems reasonable now.

It's still 124$... A little overprised for an A500 + hazy 1084, isn't it?

The person who bought this might disagree.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Commodore-Amiga-500-Philips-CM8833II-Monitor-/190655297159?pt=UK_VintageComputing_RL&hash=item2c63f0f687
And the person who bought this is quite insane.

That one went for "only" 70BP (and the A500 was still sealed and in his original box + original boxed games)... Not 124$.

That included 60 original boxed games.
So 124$ for one A500+1084 + a bunch of copied games is quit expensive.
