Title: Merseyside, England: Philips CM8833-II monitor going for free
Post by: javak on March 12, 2012, 02:34:50 PM
Hope this is the right place to post...

I have an old Philips CM8833-II monitor, suitable for A500 and A1200, which I'm about to get rid of (at the local rubbish dump) unless somebody wants it -- haven't used it for a few years, but it was working perfectly the last time it was switched on.  No leads unfortunately, they seem to have gone astray (takes a standard kettle plug and monitor cable) so you'll have to provide your own.

Does anyone want it?  Going free (no cost) if you're PREPARED TO COME COLLECT IT (from near Birkenhead, Merseyside UK) and take it away yourself.  Sorry, can't be bothered to box it up and ship it to someone, so either someone claims it, or it's off to the tip.  :)

PM me it you're interested, and include a little note as to why (in case there's more than one interested party).

I did reply to this via pm a while back but I have had no answer sadly so just figured I would give it a shot here.

sorry to hear.. I've had this monitor in thick and thin for 20 years now and it's still a good companion, rather small and compact.. i'd say almost neat :)

Drawback must be that it only shows up to 15kHz screenmodes.. but then again, it'll always give me a display of protracker!
