Title: Amiga 500 - low volume
Post by: Everblue on February 23, 2012, 08:43:15 AM
A friend of mine has just got an A500 - it works fine except for the volume, which is very, very low. He has tried with with 2 rgb/scart cables with the same result. The Amiga 500 was also tested on different TV sets.

Any idea what could be wrong, and how this can be fixed, if possible?

Cheers!

Capacitors in the Audio filter are possibly passed their best

take the motherboard out and inspect around the RCA jack, you may find that the soldering has a slight crack. I had that problem with my first A500. Lost sound almost completely.
