Hi DaNi

TitleShadow works only on the window bar.

If you want those effect even on icons, you can install PowerIcons 1.05 that acts the same effect even on a not PNG icons.

The options are:

Run >NIL: PowerIcons SCROLLSPEEDUP NOGHOSTSELECT GHOST=100 SELR=96 SELG=80 SELB=80 TEXTMODE=2

Use only with a fast CPU and a GFX card. (useable even on a 040 too)

Ciao

TitleShadow doesn't add shadows to icon text. Unfortunately two seperate patches are required (which is a shame). Lots of people asked Massimo to add the TitleShadow-effect to Visual Prefs, thus saving a patch, which would have been great.

However, I think he is too busy with OS4 to update Visual Prefs any more...

Also if you're using DOpus Magellan as Workbench replacement, it has shadow and outline options for fonts...

If you don't want to use PowerIcons, but still want your icon texts to have a shadow, there is always this patch (http://aminet.net/util/wb/OutlineFont.readme).

Hi DaNi,

here even on my actual 040@30Mhz. P96 and a CV64, it slow down  only the window scroll.

I've replaced, quite all the icons and the PNG icons are displayed quicker than the 32 col GlowIcons ones.

What exactly is it "slow", with PowerIcons installed?

Ciao

PS- by the way, PI is faster on 32 bit screen

PPS- AFAIK, WBCtrl, hasn't those option, and then on which OS are you using it?

I put this:
Run >NIL: PowerIcons SCROLLSPEEDUP NOGHOSTSELECT GHOST=100 SELR=96 SELG=80 SELB=80 TEXTMODE=2

And my amiga shoot down, slowly... not the gfx screens or wb windows... only my hd! my hd with this parameters read slowly... (i have idefix splitter). you know the functions (or any) of WBctrl?

thanks

In the NewIcons prefs program there is an option to add a similar dropshadow to the icons. It should work on any Amiga with OS 3.x.
