Title: Guru 8000000B on accessing the internet
Post by: leofoe on February 10, 2012, 07:39:27 AM
I have an A1200 with Blizzard 1230 IV and AmiTCP installed. This machine works fine but always when I try to access the internet it gurus 8000000B. A short while after I enter http://www.google.com and hit the Return key. Wether with Aweb or IBrowse. Snoopdos doesn't give a clue. Tried different memory on the 1230, jumpered it to >60ns, but that didn't work either. Removal of these programs and reinstall did not bring a solution also. It gurus under OS3.1 as well as OS3.9.
Accessing my Amiga 4000 through smbfs works fine.
Any thoughts?

Try to disable loading images. If it works then, check your datatypes for some which need an FPU. Make sure that the right processor version is installed.

Thanks for your help!
Disabling loading images makes no difference.
I installed the 020 non-FPU version.

Since AWeb and iBrowse are running then I guess you're fine.
I think Thomas meant the non-FPU versions for your pictures datatypes.

I don't know what you mean but I cannot use these browsers. And that's what I want.

The problem is resolved.
I installed from scratch and now the problem is gone. Probably there were some remains of FPU-related programs.
