Title: problems playing Oscar on Amiga CD32
Post by: nik214413 on February 04, 2012, 12:10:47 PM
I have just bought a Amiga CD 32 system with floppy drive. i have brought some games from ebay and every thing was working fine. Until i went to play Oscar. The disk went on ok but when it came to the main menu i cant get any further. The disk is a Oscar/Diggers game and cant select the game option.  I have tried a number of different controllers including the offical one and nothing seems to work. This is also true about Wing commander

Does anyone have any ideas of what the problem may be

IIRC you needed to select between Oscar and Diggers using the LEFT << / >> RIHGT Buttons on the Front of the original controllers.

Did you try that?

I am also curios about the floppy drive. The CD32 did not have an interface for a floppy drive. Are you talking about an sx32 or a cd32-ProModule ?

There's a floppy drive and clock that hooks into the expansion port of the CD32.  It shows up on Ebay now and then, usually by Analogic.  Been meaning to pick one up but the cost of shipping from the UK has been too much.
