Title: B1260 + SCSI Kit problem

B1260 without SCSI Kit is working fine.
If add SCSI Kit, the Amiga will not start .... ??
I tried to connect two different SCSI Kit - the same problem.

Checked and cleaned all the contacts .... Amiga will not start ...

Any ideas?

Does it require RAM installed on it to work?

I tried different combinations:
A1260: 16, 32, 64, 128 MB
SCSI: 16, 32, 64, 128 MB

After turning on the screen runs a rainbow, then a black screen and the machine will not boot?

Chip can be damaged by 1260, which is responsible for the SCSI?
OR any ideas?

1) Is Blizzard overclocked above standard 50MHz?
2) Do you have good and at least 100W PSU or just standard and weak Commodore unit?
3) Have you replaced crap electrolitic capacitors on your A1200 mobo? If no - why not done till now?

Standard B1260

2) Do you have good and at least 100W PSU or just standard and weak Commodore unit?
Tested also with PSU 300W, 430W - nothing

3) Have you replaced crap electrolitic capacitors on your A1200 mobo? If no - why not done till now?
Tested on three different motherboards - nothing

It is possible to update the SCSI ROM to the B1260???

You don't need to update anything on Blizzard 1260 nor SCSI KIT - everything should work out of the box. If not working - looks like hardware problem with SCSI KIT. Sorry.
Check on another Blizzard just to be 100% sure.

You can use SoftSCSI from Aminet or the corresponding module found in Blizkick archive to update the SCSI ROM to latest one. But it won't fix anything since you can not even see the insert disk screen.

Hi

Have you got any scsi devices connected to the scsi kit? If so, are the scsi ids set up to all be different (from 0 to 6) and termination at the end of the chain. If you have a problem there, it could be scanning the scsi bus for ages.

The simms need to be at least 70ns speed as well.

For SCSI Kit is not connected any SCSI device ....

The story is as follows:
1. First B1260 and SCSI Kit in a pair of working without problems.
2. By the SCSI adapter was connected the SCSI 68pin to SCSI 80pin and because of the inaccuracy of the short circuit occurred on the adapter.
3. After the closure or some other unknown reason, B1260 and SCSI Kit in a pair stopped working. However, the B1260 without SCSI Kit works perfectly.
4. I bought another SCSI Kit, but the situation has not changed (B1260+SCSI Kit does not work - the Amiga will not start).

My ideas:
1. Not work both SCSI Kits
2. The problem with the chip on the B1260, which is responsible for the SCSI (if available and if this is possible?)

What suggestions do you have?
