Title: Upgraded to 3.9 and refuses to boot

I upgraded from OS3.1 to 3.9 and it won't boot up. No errors.

I hit reboot, get the status screen of the blizzard and then it goes to black screen. Floppy drive clicks as normal.

Early start up works and if i do "boot with no startup-sequence" i get the amigados screen.

I upgraded by using upgrade over empty hd or os3.0. Previous installation was 3.1 and that worked fine.

Update: I removed the lines of idefix and it worked.. Why?

There are some instructions in the OS3.9 installion where it asks about 3rd party IDE adapaters and states that certain ones require a "skipromupdate" command to added to the startup-sequence somewhere (IIRC - it does it for you), so that probably has something to do with it.

Its reassuring to hear you seem to have as many sagas with your 1200 as I do with mine :roflmao:

I just left it without idefix. It works ok and cd and all works.
