Post by: touringsedan on January 20, 2012, 06:14:16 PM
Would like to upgrade my OCS Denise to ECS in my A2000 R6.4

Installed an Indivision ECS and want more options.

Pretty sure that the last runs of the 2000 boards were full ECS, thus why if anyone wants an A2000, they usually want a rev 6.3 or later.

Sadly the previous owner installed an OCS denise and that is what I am left with.

Indivision ECS can display the ECS screenmodes even on systems that only have an OCS Denise chip, the only requirement is an ECS Agnus chip (which is usually present in all Amiga models made in 1990 or later).

Sounds like you shouldn't need the ECS Denise.

FOUND!
Picked up an A2000MB that had one for $30 bucks. Now at least I have some spare parts just in case!
