I am considering getting a mediator board for my A4000, goal is to get a voodoo card, a sound card, NIC and USB up and running. I assume for basic desktop things that the video out through the voodoo will be just fine (thinking of deluxepaint, finalwriter, etc etc), but what about things like WHDload? Any thoughts, experiences, warnings, links, you could give pro or con to running a mediator in an A4000D?

You will still need either a scan doubler or a monitor that can handle the 15khz signal to get things that will not promote to 31khz. this includes the early boot menu's etc.
The solution i use is a dell st2420L(or st2320L,sl2320L,sl2420l)lcd monitor, it can take the 15khz and the 31khz and display both.i hooked the radeon to the hdmi in and the stock 4000 video to the vga input.
it works well.

Well, poop. I don't really want to buy another monitor for my miggy. I guess I'll just cross fingers and hope Jens comes out with the Indivision for the A4000 before too long.
EDIT: Do any of the zorro solutions (Picasso, Cybervison) act as scandoublers/flickerfixers if not displaying at high resolutions?

I know the Picasso IV has a built in SD/FF and so does the Cybergraphics 64-3/D.
If you look on the Big Book of Amiga Hardware under Graphic Cards-RTG you can figure out which card does the best.
Also, there is a DIY kit that will allow you to connect an internal SD/FF with the VGA of a Graphics card so you only have one output.
