The Greenbay / Giants game should be a good one! :)

I think you should have stopped before IV :(
First three are great. Particularly, the first Star Trek movie is awesome. Even today, it's beautiful, and the Enterprise's ambient is so clean with those 70's lines...
In the other hand, it's a saga that makes me feel very, very sad. I always dreamed of space and adventure as a kid, thanks to Star Trek, and I also learn the importance or knowledge and curiosity with the series/films. It made me dream of a future where mankind would be living for creativity, exploration and science. But this future is unlikely, as capitalism finally triumphed over any other type of society.

I have the morning off so I'm watching the tv series Rome. Damn that's a good tv show! :swords:
This morning i am also watching Star Trek Enterprise. So much better than the recent movie.

You obviously don't know much about Star Trek. You should know that from about 2030 until 2050 there will be WWIII. So you can expect things to continue to turn to crap until that happens, and then in the year 2061 the Vulcans will land in Montana and Humans will then switch to a Marxism based society. Talk about ignorance...

If it weren't for CAPITALISM Star Trek would have never been made and he would have never seen it! :hammer:

But Star Trek is not a tv show it is real life. It just hasn't happened yet...

Exactly! I don't want her to leave me :)

Watching for trouble.
-
Relaxing mostly and recovering from an operation (I had one wisdom teeth extracted couple of days ago, it didn't go smoothy).
Watching the gf play Civ 5.
Oh also installed HDD to the optical drive bay of one my MacBook Pros (OS boots from the 120GB SSD). Bought two of those conversion kits from HK, will also convert the work MBP later on.

And never will because of capitalism! Ugh!

The gf is now muttering "noo clear wessels" at the rabbit :)

Ouch. It can be a tricky procedure, IIRC there's a facial nerve which runs very close to the jaw at the point where they have to operate.
In the UK, it's common for dental pain to induce secondary financial pain :/ A few years ago I had to have root canal and a crown due to chipping a tooth and not noticing (was the rear face) until it got infected. I can't complain about the quality of the work, but it sure wasn't cheap.

There you go, you successfully got it wormed into her brain
Anyhoo I'm just sitting back and listening to classic Genesis (wait, why did I specify? That's the only Genesis, there wasn't anything afterwards) whilst I touch up and file the week's Internet image stash...

Problem for me was that I had an existing infection that caused considerable extra pain. Additionally the local anesthetic had little effect on me (it has worked before so it was somewhat puzzling), and the surgeon had to inject me 8 times (2-3 being the typical dosage and 11 being the absolute safety limit). It still was extremely painful.

I could have gone through the public heath care system but I can easily afford the private sector these days. It wasn't cheap for sure, but at least I didn't have to wait for ages.

As Raj said in "The Big Bang Theory", Star Trek V is the standard against which all badness is measured. ;-)
-
I'm not very ambidextrous myself, so I'm just listening to music, having a few sips of diet coke, and digesting food while I read amiga.org.
-
I've been working on the 401stweb website...

Actually i quite liked Star Trek V. Star Trek 2009 on the other hand is complete ****house.

I rather enjoyed the new Star Trek... :)

I'm with you on this one. I thought Trek V was just an embarrassment. I did enjoy the 2009 reboot, although I think like most action movies today, the sound FX and music was too loud for the dialog. (That might have helped Trek V ;-) )
BTW, there's another film in the rebooted Trek in the mill.
-
Yeah, it's a shame V was so bad... I wanted to watch undiscovered country... Never mind, the gf also enjoyed the 2009 reboot, and I too am looking forward to the next one :)
Karl Urban and Simon Pegg were great!
-
STV was indeed awful. Trek '09...I wasn't impressed. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't very good. Just a big empty-headed action flick that happens to be set in the Star Trek universe, that's all. Didn't have any shred of nuance or subtextual depth to the script, which is something all the good Trek movies had - even freaking Generations tried for it - and anyway the direction was just spastic enough to make the action less enjoyable than it should've been.
I wish Hollywood would wake the hell up and remember that action movies and good writing are not mutually exclusive...
Karl Urban is Deforest Kelly, though.
-
How well did Simon Pegg play Scotty?

Pegg made a great Scott, different to Dooan, but great... The real star was Karl Urban though who played Bones somehow more DeForrest than DeForrest himself, quite amazing! :)

Working...
-
Yes, i'm watching that right now.
Wow! I didn't expect an upset like that! 66 yards running for Rodgers.
I guess the Packers just didn't want it bad enough.
Looking forward to the Championships. :)
-
I'm just in from the pub, having a quick check on what's happening (not a lot) before I head to bed before work tomorrow. Nuts, I hate Mondays!

Yep, the fav. team is out. Maybe Manning played better than they expected.

Were they injecting u with Lidocaine?
Do u mean that even after 8 injections u could still feel pain?
Did the tooth pain radiate out into your face, neck and/or ears?
-
I just got on A.org, I've been playing Warhammer 4o,ooo against a buddy. Two games and I won them both. YAY!
-
Nobody here watches American Football. I'm an Aussie Rules fan deep in the Rugby League heartland, but right now it's Cricket season.

yeah, no movies were ever made in the USSR. Wait....
I've been playing Dungeon Crawl - Stone Soup all damn day. And all of last night too. This game has really crawled inside my head.
