Title: Another find
Post by: motrucker on January 15, 2012, 06:51:43 PM
I just found an Amiga 2000HD in almost new condition. It came (new) with 1Mb of chip RAM, and still has the original 120Mb Quantum HD.
Only problem is there is no keyboard or mouse. Anyone in the 'states have a KB & mouse really cheap?

Nice.
Want to sell it?

Mine has the Quantum plus the A2094 controller. Bought mine from Germany.

Where did you find it?
A gentleman who used to belong to the NCAUG (in DC & Virginia) wanted it to go to a good home. I was the first person to respond.
I can't believe I can't find a keyboard! Maybe I'll try to adapt my A1000 keyboard - that may work.

Good job. I'm always on the lookout for a decent find but it has yet to happen.

Where are you located? The area makes a huge difference. The Washington D.C., Baltimore, Annapolis area was a hotbed for Amiga users back when.

Haha, I remember going to a few meetings of that group.  Wonder if you got it from Steve?  The DC area has pretty much been plundered of all Amiga hardware years ago, surprised you managed to find something!

No, it was Tom. There is more still going on there than you might believe. There are at least two x-members on this site that I am aware of.
There was also WAC years back, and Rockville Amiga, and .... Seems there were more, but I can't remember right now.

I'm still an NCAUGer!  Even IF I'm displaced to Idaho. ;)  In fact, when I got back from Iraq last fall, my wife and I went back to Maryland and we held a mini NCAUG reunion!

It was a blast to get to sit down with great friends like that and have them and my wife get better acquainted with them all.

Amiga folks really are just fun to hang around with, you know?  :)

@ J-Golden
I remember you, and I agree with you 100%.
