Title: Beige Minimig bundle for auction
Post by: TheDaddy on January 07, 2012, 09:04:06 PM
Hi everyone,

As some of you know I am still working on my Amiga 500 inspired case and soon it's going to need an injection of cash so one of my favourite Minimigs goes under the hammer from tomorrow for a week.

If you are interested please bid on it, the more I raise the better it will be for speeding the process up.

There are a couple of interesting things in the auction:

The first and only Minimig case I designed in beige as seen here:

http://www.loriano.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/classic.htm

Also included in the auction:

1x Minimig board with PIC installed

1x NEW ARM Controller for the Minimig (never used, still in its box)

2x 1GB SD Cards FAT32 formatted

1x Compact, white, USB with silent keys keyboard with black Minimig logo

1x Amiga Competition Pro joystick

1x Amiga Tecnoplus Scorpion Junior joystick

1x White VGA-DVI adapter (not tested)

1x Black USB optical mouse (Microsoft)

1x Minimig PSU (it needs an adapter, a shaver one will do if in the U.K.)

1x Spare PIC

1x Serial to USB adapter

1x Serial Cable

1x Original Minimig packaging with manual

2x USB to PS/2 adapters

2x Spare Minimig adhesives

If you are interested in supporting my project then it's time to start bidding. ;)

Link will appear here tomorrow.

Any questions please post them here.

Thanks!

I'd buy it buy I already have a similar setup and the USD is sucking wind.

I would think someone would have snapped it up by now with that ARM controller.

I guess people don't realize how nice the Minimig 1.1 with ARM is running at 50mhz in turbo mode getting 2 - 2.5 mb/sec off the hardfile. Otherwise I think you get like 250K/sec which is pretty lame. And its not as if those ARM controllers grow on trees :)

is your Amiga 500 inspired case for the Minimig 1.1 or new FPGA Replay?

what makes your case more A500 inspired than say A1200? The reason I ask is just I do like the A1200's case a little more...

Hi,

Exactly, the reason I am selling it is to carry on with my A500 inspired case otherwise I'd have kept it, there really is a lot of stuff there and the ARM Controller makes it a nice proposition.

The X500 (what is called now) is A500 inspired. It's not a copy or a replica as I don't have the necessary funds to create an injection moulded replica, so I am battering aluminium and cutting bits of plastic in my garage :D
The reason I chose the A500 is because it was my first Amiga and it gives you plenty of room for expansions. One day I might tackle the A1200 too :)

Thanks!
