Hello,
Well I've gotten an Amiga 2000 set up and when I "booted"
I got a solid green screen, which means that there's a problem with the chip ram
I opened it up and everything was in place as it should be, It had been working fine until this happened. boards in place. plus i cleaned the clock battery that had leaked when I first brought it up from my basement.
Now, I'm not exactly an expert on anything, so try going easy on me :P
I'd like to know how to go about replacing and fixing the problem.
Thanks for the help.

First thing to try is always to reseat the Agnus. That's the chip that deals with the Chip RAM, so if it has a dirty connection it thinks the RAM is bad.
Once you've done that you need to start looking for bad RAM chips - that's where the fun really starts!
Don't forget to earth yourself before opening the machine, of course. And make sure the power is off naturally.

You wouldn't happen to have a bit of a diagram would you? :P
EDIT: I'm gonna need a lot more insight. I don't know how to reseat the angus . . . assuming that angus is like the motherboard?
it cant be a dirty connection because i cleaned everything a while back. All i get is green and the power light blinks. Also maybe i should have mentioned i have a A2000HD with a hard drive that works. but everytime i turn it on i get green. I even tried using reset keys, but it just booted back to green.
It must be bad chips. How do i find them?
thanks again.
EDIT2: found a tutorial. I'll try my luck at it
