Title: Cannot open "gadget/string.gadget",version 44.?

Hi all  need to edit my user-startup but whenever i open edit pad i get Cannot open "gadget/string.gadget",version 44.

Does anyone have any idea why this has happend ? ive trying to configure samba as i want to share my drives ?

Your other thread says that you get a RAM disk full error after storing ca. 8 MB files in it. Perhaps your Amiga simply has not enough RAM to run OS 3.9? 8 MB is the absolute minimum requirement.

Other than that, make sure that string.gadget version 44 is stored in Sys:Classes/Gadgets.

Really? I only have six meg :( Would it be better if i used wb 3.1 instead of aos 3.9?

Well i have just gone and done a fresh install of wb 3.1 and will see how i get on :)
