Finally, in time for Christmas 2011!
There are still a few things left to do, but I thought it would be best to release it anyway. The chances of anyone getting up to the unfinished bits are pretty slim anyway :) Maybe I will have finished it by the time anyone gets half way... feedback welcome of course.
Enjoy!

EDIT: this is for AGA Amigas only.
EDIT: anyone who downloaded it before this edit please download it again... I uploaded the wrong version... upload in haste, repent at leisure.

Thanks! Can you remind me, is this AGA only?

Yes. I edited the post to include that information.

Cool thanks for this I will give it at try on my 1200 over the weekend.
It's always cool to see new AGA games :)

Just downloaded it, and have been playing. Hey, I really like the polished, well-presented look.. but... Wah...:( On my '060 A1200 I have to turn off all caches, and run in Priveledged mode, it seems....or else I get Mr. Guru # 8000 0003 ...
But really , I feel it's a first-class effort! It's NOT an easy game for me, even just the first level... But, after my first game ended TOO quick, I immediately had to play another game... that's a good sign, obviously... :afro:
I will say tho, I mean no offense.. the player sprite in just blue and white stripes.. is kinda plain looking... oh, and some of the level design is just devious!
:hammer:

excellent work :)

I love this game, thank you so much for releasing the beta. If you'd like any help finishing anything off graphically, such as animated intros or additional level or menu graphics let me know, I'm still very happy to help out.
I hope you don't mind, but I have made a CD32 version by simply copying the files to a bootable CD and using the Startup-Sequence from the floppy version. It works perfectly on my CD32, it'd be nice if anyone else can report if it works too, particularly on an NTSC CD32.
You can download the ISO image and burn it with any CD burning program. I recommend CD-R media with a silver reflective surface, not the ones with dark blue as the weak CD32 laser has trouble reading those.
Get the CD32 version here: http://amigachristmastree.ultimateamiga.co.uk/MrBeanbagCD32.iso

@Mrs Beanbag
You should think about adding you're product to the Project Metropolis website to increase sales.

Mr Beanbag looks great. I can't wait to see it on my A1200 when I get back home. For now I'm trying to get UAE up and running on my MacBook, so I can try it out already. It looks really slick and polished.

Congratulations for the Game!!
Have a great Speed.. You know thats kind of things, make this game genere cool. Like Sonic the Hedgehog.
Cool Music, great levels, a cool humor sense, and great colors!
Great Game.. thanks for support the Amiga Scene!

I think Mr Beanbag's body looks a bit on when on slopes - the shape should follow the slope in my opinion. And as an added worry on slopes maybe he should always tend to roll downhill when on a slope - no stopping to rest!

Odd! I have a 68060 as well and don't have any problem like this, needless to say I wouldn't have let it go out of the door if I'd known about it!
A quick Google tells me this is an odd address error, I don't know where that could be but I'll look into it. Can you tell me when the guru happens? I mean at what stage of trying to run the game, straight away, after the splash screen, title screen, randomly during the game?

I have a Blizzard 1260 with 70MB RAM. I have not seen the guru you mention so far but I have not gotten past level one yet.
Anyway I must say Mr Beanbag is really good. It seems really well polished and amazingly smooth! Does it run that way even on a stock A1200?
-
It runs perfectly on a stock CD32 so I'd say it'd be the same on a stock A1200.
-
it starts to struggle on a stock A1200 only on the final level, because of the sheer number of bad guys. I've got a major optimisation planned for that, but it's a relatively low priority compared to gurus. Even there just a little fast RAM sorts it out but the design spec is for full speed on absolutely stock A1200s.
