So I got my Mediator board from Astral today and am wondering now what software I need to get this up and running. I realize I'm going to need a case as well as a thing to bend my PCMCIA port, but I'm not sure what else.
I have the keyboard adapter which I also got from Astral, though I did not receive any software. So...
what softs do I need, drivers, hardware, etc.?
Thankx in advance! :)

You'll also need the Mediator software to make it work, and if it's an old one, it may need a couple of the chips upgraded to enable some cards. Which cards are you planning on running with it? Once the software's installed it generally just works without any messing about. AmigaKit have that PCMCIA right-angled adaptor if you need it...
As for the keyboard adaptor, that shouldn't need any extra software - the decoding/recoding is done by the small processor in the adaptor itself, and to the Amiga it just looks like a standard keyboard.

I was going to drop a Voodoo 3 on it along with a Sound Blaster and Network Card.
Apparently the board is already upgraded.
I presume I'll be using the software from here:

Also, when I hook up a power pack to this, will i still need to run the regular power pack into the back of the Amiga itself or will the Amiga be powered via the Mediator?

The mediator has a psu connection on it and this should power the whole system, but i may be wrong looking on amigakit it has an AT psu connection so i would think that it should power the full system from the mediator.

Make sure your Amiga is in tip top shape.

I've got them both prepared and in top shape... or so I think. :)

email the serial number to support at elbox.com

"MediatorUP 3.12 is the last update for these Mediator busboards, which are not equipped with the Mediator Multimedia CD. From the next update Mediator System Files will be part of the MM CD UP, the new System Files will not support Mediators without MM CD keys. If your Mediator is misssing MM CD (which is very rare, as all Mediator made after December 2001 were factory-equipped with MM CD), you can still upgrade it at some of our distributors."
In other words: be prepared to pay for the drivers.

What's a CD Key?
Do I have to prove I own hardware or something? And I have to pay to make the hardware I own work? That's like buying a car and having to pay extra for the keys.
Bunch of crap!!!

I finally got around to writing Elbox (now that I'm soon to receive a PPC board in the mail).
Here's a pic of what I got. The Mach chips are said to have been updated...

If you haven't picked up a graphics card yet, scratch around for some old 1MB or 2MB ViRGE cards. I tried a couple of cards pulled from some old PCs and they worked great with the Mediator drivers until my Radeon arrived.

@Piru
Well, bad as elbox is, if you email them the product's serial, they actually email the software for free.
