Title: Apollo 060: Death by carpet?
Post by: XDelusion on November 30, 2011, 07:44:35 PM: So I dropped my expensive ass Apollo 060 on the carpet...

Now neither 1200 will boot with it in. I reseated the RAM, presses all chips down, etc. Still nothing...

Any ideas?

I tell ya, if i have to handle my Blizzard '060 for any reason, I have 2 anti-static wrist straps on, and throw salt over my shoulder!

The sad part is that this card was supposed to be part of my trade with Amiduffer for his 3G and 4k. :/

If thats the case then plugging the board into the A1200 and powering up can damage the cpu permanently. It happened to me, and I had to send it to PG for repairs. It now runs at 40 mhz-still quick.

If the card remains dead does this mean you will have the old carpet removed for committing such a crime :)
